India’s premier online poker site Adda52.com recently announced that it will be hosting exclusive online qualifiers between April 17 and June 4 for WPT500 Las Vegas, providing Indian poker players with a chance to win a ticket to a world-class poker tournament.
WPT500 Las Vegas which kicks off on June 26 is being held at the luxurious Aria Resort and Casino. The event has a buy-in of $565 and a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million. Indian players can win two tickets each to the event via the satellites being run by Adda52.com.
Satellites have been structured in three levels. The first is the Rs. 450 Step Satellite, where players can win tickets to enter the PKG Satellite. This satellite is currently running daily at two time slots which are 4 PM and 7 PM and will be held until June 4. Next is the Rs. 900 Deadline Satellite scheduled for April 21 to June 4 with one re-entry.
This will also give players an opportunity to win a ticket to the PKG Satellite.
The PKG Satellite will run April 21to June 4 and has a buy-in of Rs 9000. There will be 2 re-entries available. The winner will get a package worth Rs. 1.75 lakh that will contain two entry tickets to WPT500 (valued at around Rs. 75,000) and flight tickets with a max value of rupees one lakh.
This is not the first time that Adda52.com has sent qualified players to WPT events. Last year the site hosted satellites enabling winning players to participate in a number of WPT events including WPT500 at ARIA Resort and Casino, WPT National U.K., WPT National China, WPT National Rozvadov and WPT National Cambodia.
So far the poker site has set over 30 players to such WPT events held across the world. This year Adda52.com is planning on increasing the number of players it sends. It is hoping to send around 20 players to take part in the WPT500 Las Vegas offering them a chance to showcase their poker skills on an international platform.
Adda52.com has an ongoing international brand licensing deal with the World Poker Tour which it signed in April 2016.Among other things, the agreement allows the site to send qualified players to WPT events. Adam Pliska, President and CEO of the WPT had said at that time that the deal would enable the WPT to expand its footprint into one of the fastest growing markets in poker and bring the WPT experience to poker players in India.
