888poker’s XL Autumn Series Returns From Sep17 with $2m In Prize Money

The popular XL Autumn Series will be back on 888poker this September, with more than $2 million in guarantees to be won.

The series, which was last held in 2021, returns this year with a jam-packed schedule of 145 tournaments, including 34 numbered events.

XL Autumn Series on 888poker

The XL Autumn series runs from September 17 to October 3, with dozens of tournaments to choose from, at buy-ins of between $5.50 and $525.

The festival opens with nine tournaments, including the $55 buy-in Mystery Bounty Mini Opening which features $35,000 in guarantees. A bigger buy-in edition of this event also gets underway on the same day, the $109 buy-in, $120,000 GTD Mystery Bounty Opening. The event plays down to a winner on September 18, with the final action to be live-streamed on 888poker’s Twitch channel.

Those two aren’t the only Mystery Bounty events of the series as there are plenty of them on the schedule, including the XL Autumn #20 – Mystery Bounty which costs $162 to enter and comes with a cool $200,000 guarantee. This multi-flight tournament takes place from September 20-26 and will also be covered by the 888poker Twitch stream team.

The series culminates in the $250 buy-in Main Event which features $500,000 in guaranteed prize money. The tournament has multiple Day 1 flights running from September 27 – October 2. The finalists will battle it out in a live-streamed finale which takes place on September 3.

The reigning XL Series Main Event champion is Brazil’s “lxiltxZtKQn” who won the tournament during the Spring edition. The Brazilian player topped 1,821 entries to claim $38,263 in first-place prize. Apart from the winner, the 2nd to 7th places were also paid five figures, including bounties.

As usual, players get the chance to qualify for the bigger events for a fraction of the price via satellites running on 888poker. On top of that, the operator is also expected to give away tournament tickets via its social media channels, so players should stay tuned.

Poised for a Successful Comeback

The return of the XL Autumn Series will be welcomed by plenty of players and fans of the popular festival. In 2021, the series also featured a $2 million guarantee and that figure was smashed when a total of $2.3 million was paid out. That could be replicated or even surpassed this year!
