US Poker Open 2021 Airing On NBCSN Throughout August

NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) is broadcasting the 2021 US Poker Open (USPO). Fans of the popular poker festival can revisit the action and relive the moments on NBCSN every Monday during August. The first show was on August 16 and the next two will be on Aug 23 and 30.

NBCSN is one of the major sports broadcasting networks in the country, airing a wide array of sports events, such as the National Football League, the French Open, the Premier League, the Tour de France and the Olympic Games.

NBCSN is also no stranger to broadcasting poker events. It aired the NBC National Heads-Up Championships for years until its final episode in 2013. In 2017, the network inked a broadcasting deal with Poker Central, which owns and operates the subscription-based video streaming service PokerGO. Both companies last year agreed to a multi-year renewal of their content partnership, which has now been extended through 2022.

The 2021 USPO has premiered on NBCSN on August 16, with the first four episodes featuring some of the world’s top poker pros, such as Stephen Chidwick, Jason Koon, Ali Imsirovic and back-to-back USPO champion, David Peters.

The entirety of the 2021 series will air on NBCSN through August 30, split into a total of 12 episodes. The second four episodes will hit the NBCSN airwaves on August 23, with the final four, including the Main Event, airing on August 30.

The USPO is one of PokerGO’s proprietary festivals, launched in 2018. It is a series of high-stakes poker tournaments held at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, with the final action of all events streamed live on PokerGO.

Chidwick became the first ever series champion when he won two events and made five final tables during the inaugural festival in February 2018. The second edition in 2019 was topped by Peters, and the American poker pro clinched the title for a second time this year.

Global Poker To Host USPO Online Edition

PokerGO is also joining forces with Global Poker to run an online version of the series from August 23 to September 5. Players will be able to participate in the online edition in two ways – first through Gold Coins (GC), the other via the platform’s Sweeps Coins (SC).

The online festival features a total of 32 events, with the GC version awarding GC 500,000,000 in guarantees, and the SC edition offering SC 1,000,000. The series will declare two overall champions.
