Fans of the popular cash game TV show “High Stakes Poker” which announced its return in 2020 will have some live action to enjoy next week, as it gathers some of the world’s most popular poker players in a $200/$400 cash game on April 27.

The upcoming event will be live-streamed on PokerGO and YouTube.

The Line-Up

The April 27 episode of High Stakes Poker is expected to involve high-quality action and drama, considering the backgrounds of players confirmed to compete in the game. The current line-up is a mix of High Stakes Poker regulars, streamers, and returning pros which means fans and viewers can look forward to a very exciting game.

On the list is Doug Polk, one of the world’s best poker players. Polk hasn’t been that active playing poker since announcing his semi-retirement from the game a few years ago. His last notable poker competition was his high-profile grudge match with Daniel Negreanu which he ended up winning for $1.2 million back in 2021.

The Upswing Poker founder, who now co-owns The Lodge Poker Club in Texas, will be back in action on April 27 on High Stakes Poker, battling it out with other returning pros, such as Jennifer Tilly and Bill Klein.

High Stakes Poker has also invited one of the most famous names in livestream poker right now who usually competes in the biggest cash games in the US – casino chain owner Eric Persson.

Persson, the owner and CEO of gambling company Maverick Gaming, is sure to provide big action on the show as well as high drama, as Matt Berkey is also part of the lineup. Persson and Berkey recently clashed on Twitter and we can anticipate some heated exchanges between these two when they come face to face next week.

Berkey is also currently involved in a high-stakes heads-up feud against Nikhil “Nik Airball” Arcot. Both are bitter rivals, as Airball previously accused Berkey of being a scammer. Well guess what? Airball will also join the livestreamed High Stakes Poker show on April 27!

Each player will buy into the game for at least $100,000.

Catch the Action on YouTube

Mori Eskandani, President of PokerGO which now owns High Stakes Poker, said it’s always been their goal to boost the global visibility of the game, and one way to achieve that is to join the livestreaming trend.

Eskandani indicated that the live broadcast of the $200/$400 cash game will be made available on YouTube for free on April 27 which is great news for the poker community.
