4Poker Could End Up With Massive Overlays In Both Mystery Bounty Events

The global online poker market is extremely competitive and is dominated by big names such as PokerStars, GGPoker, 888poker and partypoker. It is always hard for a new online poker operator to enter the market and compete with the big brands.

4Poker is trying to do just that by offering players exciting events with big guarantees. This online poker room was founded by Bryn Kenney who is one of the top high stakes poker pros with over $65 million in prize money. Kenney is ranked number 1 on the Hendon Mob’s All Time Money list and that’s one reason why 4Poker is getting some attention in the online poker market.

4Poker is trying to finish 2023 and start 2024 on a strong note by offering two massive Mystery Bounty (MB) events that will appeal to both low and mid stakes players. The low stakes MB event has a $22 buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000 while the second MB event has a buy-in of $270 and a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million.

Mystery Bounty Events Could Have Massive Overlay

4Poker made a bold bet when it decided to come up with these two MB events and their guaranteed prize pools as it requires 4,000 registrations to hit the $1M guaranteed prize pool and 5,000 registrations to hit the $100,000 prize pool. The daily satellite events are running at just 25 cents each with the final phase of the tournament set to take place on Jan 15, 2025.

The online poker room is running satellite events and also multiple Day 1s for both MB events but the response hasn’t been great as of this writing. The $1M MB event has received 219 registrations so far which is less than 6 percent of the total registrations required to hit the guaranteed prize pool.

The $100,000 MB event has done a bit better and received just over 370 registrations which is over 7 percent of the total registrations required to hit the guaranteed prize pool. If 4Poker does not get a huge influx of player registrations, it could end up with one of the biggest overlays and will not be a great start for the poker room in 2024.
