A Guide To COVID-19 Vaccination Verification At 2021 WSOP

Last Updated on September 3, 2021 Author:Adrian Sterne

World Series of Poker - Covid PassThe World Series of Poker (WSOP) created quite a controversy last week when it announced that it would only accept players who had taken the full COVID-19 vaccination.

Some players welcomed the announcement but many opposed the WSOP’s stance on mandatory vaccination.

The WSOP isn’t going to change its mind as cases are growing in the US and knows that some players will drop out.

However for those players who plan on taking the COVID-19 vaccination and playing at the WSOP, this short guide will help you figure out how to confirm your vaccination details at the 2021 WSOP.

Step 1: Download the Clear Mobile App and Health Pass

One of the ways you can confirm your COVID-19 vaccination is by downloading the Clear Mobile App and Health Pass. The app can be downloaded at both the Apple and Google Play stores. Once you download the app, you need to sign-in and verify your identity. You will have to take a picture of your ID (driving license) front and back and upload the same.

If everything is in order, you will see a green tick mark appear confirming you have been verified.

Step 2: Upload COVID-19 Vaccination Proof

The next step is to upload your COVID-19 vaccination proof. Do note that the WSOP wants proof of full vaccination and requires you to be vaccinated a minimum of 14 days before you show up at the WSOP in Las Vegas. The accepted vaccination certificates are from AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Moderna.

Proof of two shots is required if you have taken the jab from any of these three companies. If you have taken a jab from Johnson & Johnson, then one shot is considered full vaccination.

Upload a photo of your vaccination card into the app and enter the required info about when and where you received your vaccination. Be sure to enter this information correctly as it will be cross-checked.

Step 3: Verify Proof Of Vaccination At 2021 WSOP

It’s best that you complete this process a few days before you show up at the WSOP. When you do show up at the Rio, you only need to confirm your proof of vaccination once. You can do this by going to the registration office at the Rio Convention Center.

When you meet with a registration rep, you can open the app and go to your health pass screen. Show this screen to the registration support team as they will use the bar code on the app to sign you in and confirm that you have been COVID-19 vaccinated.

Note: If you can’t make it to the main event due to not be vaccinated yet or don’t want to take the risk then why not play in the comfort of your home – with our carefully selected US Poker sites, there will be plenty of action to be had.
