It’s getting closer to December and the poker community now has its eyes on the biggest poker events taking place during the month, including the highly-anticipated World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise which takes place from December 3-14 at the Atlantis Paradise in the Bahamas.

Featuring 15 gold bracelet events and $51 million in combined guarantees, WSOP Paradise is expected to attract not only the biggest names in poker but also celebrities in various other fields. We can look forward to a star-studded festival, with a number of prominent figures from the world of poker and beyond already confirming their attendance.

Poker Elites Chasing for Bracelet Glory at WSOP Paradise

Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, and Shaun Deeb are considered WSOP regulars competing in the Las Vegas series each year, so it’s not entirely surprising that the trio is among the top poker pros confirmed to compete at WSOP Paradise this December.

Negreanu was among the first to announce his WSOP Paradise campaign, confirming that he will play all the events. In particular, the GGPoker ambassador is eyeing the $26,000 buy-in, $10,000,000 GTD High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha (December 7) and the $103,000 buy-in, $5,000,000 GTD Ultra High Roller (December 9).

Looking to extend his bracelet record, Hellmuth will also travel to the Bahamas to compete at WSOP Paradise. Throughout his career, the 17-time WSOP bracelet winner has only cashed in one poker event in the Caribbean country – a 4th-place finish for $33,180 in a $5,300 PLO event which ran as part of the 2013 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA).

This year is proving to be a busy one for Deeb as the American poker pro also confirmed his participation in WSOP Paradise. Deeb, who already has six bracelets under his name (tied with Negreanu), will look to win more gold in the Bahamas while trying to stay on track with his fitness goals. As we all know, the 37-year-old is currently involved in a $100K body fat challenge with Bill Perkins.

Celebrities also Joining In on the Action

The WSOP has also released a list of celebrities who will take part in the Bahamas series. They include American television personality Rob Mariano, four-time NBA champ Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs, Argentinian soccer legend Sergio Agüero, and American rapper Hoodie Allen.
