PokerStars US Winter Series Ends with Several Players Claiming Multiple Titles

The PokerStars’ US Winter Series is now done and dusted, with a number of players taking home multiple titles, including iFoldNOT and KymLim who won the Main Event in the Michigan/New Jersey shared pool and Pennsylvania, respectively.

They ended their campaign as two of the biggest winners of the series, walking away with two titles each.

The PokerStars US Winter Series ran from January 12 to January 29, covering the states of Michigan and New Jersey (which share the same player pool), and Pennsylvania which remains a ring-fenced market. All in all, players competed for $3.75 million in combined guarantees across 170 events.

“iFoldNOT”, “KymLim” Crowned Winter Series Main Event Champs

In the Michigan/New Jersey pool, one player stood out – iFoldNOT – who bagged two victories, including the Main Event title, plus a second-place finish. iFoldNOT scored their first win in Event #52: $500 Super Tuesday High Roller on January 23 where they outlasted 136 entrants to secure the $14,546 top prize. That was followed by another victory in the $300 buy-in Main Event on January 29 where they beat out 815 opponents for $42,420.

iFoldNOT came close to winning a third title on the same day after finishing runner-up in Event #75: $2,000 High Roller for $24,850.

In Pennsylvania, it was KymLim who captured the $300 Main Event, topping an 803-entry field for $38,151.64. But that’s not all. KymLim closed out the series with two titles after winning the $250 NLHE [Super Tuesday High Roller] earlier for $7,464.05.

Other Big Winners

Several other players grabbed a large share of the Winter Series prize pool from Pokerstars. In Michigan/New Jersey, painter7707 and cal4567 also took home a pair of titles which they won during the final week of the series. WadeDavenport also emerged as a big winner after taking down the $1,000 Sunday High Roller and the $2,000 High Roller for $23,748 and $26,259, respectively.

Corey “Corgasm231” Paggeot, well-known as a World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) crusher with seven gold rings under his name, won Event #57: $100 Wednesday Storm for $5,478.

In Pennsylvania, spycathcher99 also took home two titles after winning the $250 PLO [Monthly PLO] ($5,931.7) and the $50 Mini Main Event ($5,658.32). Other big winners in the PA series included mbw2388 who won the $2,000 NLHE [High Roller Main] for $35,743 and Danieldanielson who captured the $200 NLHE [Sunday Special] for $17,791.30.
