PokerStars Makes A Big Splash To Celebrate Sunday Million Anniversary

PokerStars recently announced that it will be celebrating the 11th anniversary of its highly popular weekly tournament, the PokerStars Sunday Million by adding a whopping $10 million guarantee.

The Sunday Million typically offers a $1 million guarantee, but on April 2, the guarantee will jump to at least $10 million with $1 million going to the eventual champion. The event has a direct buy-in of $215 but players can also win an entry ticket through a range of ongoing satellites that start at as low as $1. PokerStars gave out around 400 tickets via satellites games held on its site between March 18 and March 25.

A similar event on April 1 will take place and PokerStars will make an additional 200 tickets available and offer players a chance to win a ticket and qualify for the Sunday Million event.

PokerStars will also be providing a $215 Sunday Million Anniversary entry ticket to those who finish between the second place and the 200th place in the freeroll. Those making a deposit until April 1 will receive a free entry ticket to the Hyper-Turbo Freeroll and also a mystery bonus which could range from a $10,000 All-in Shootout ticket to even $10,000 in cash.

In addition to regular satellites for entering the $10 million guaranteed Sunday Million, players can try their luck in the On-Demand satellites that have a buy-in of $27. These games begin as soon as the table is full. Players wanting to play the jackpot sit & go format can make an attempt through the Spin & Go qualifiers which have a $5 buy-in. Also on offer are two Deadline Satellites on April 2 – one will have 1,000 seats guaranteed with a $11 buy-in while the other one has 333 seats guaranteed with a $33 buy-in.

On April 2, PokerStars is also giving players a chance to win tickets worth over €50,000 to the upcoming PokerStars Championship Monte Carlo.
