PokerStars, the biggest online poker website in the world has a reputation of running some of the biggest online poker tournaments in the world.

The online poker giant just concluded a special MicroMillions tournament earlier this month that allowed low stakes poker players to get in on the action and win some great prizes ahead of the holiday season.

High stake poker players from around the world will be excited to know that PokerStars is running its High Rollers tournament from December 1 to 9. The High Rollers tournament will have as many as 27 exciting events and a total of $11 million in guaranteed prize money.

This is another opportunity for poker pros to get in some high stakes poker action and finish the year strong. PokerStars has confirmed that buy-ins to these 27 events will range from between $530 to $10,000 to give poker pros with different bankrolls a range of events to choose from during the High Roller action.

The online poker operator has put great detail into its planning to ensure that every day during the High Roller festival a $10,300 or a $5,200 buy-in will take place as these events have a minimum guarantee of $500,000. There will also be four events out of the 27 events that come with a minimum $1 million guarantee. The only exception to this schedule is on Dec 9 where there is no minimum $500,000 guarantee.

This is because PokerStars is hosting its High Rollers 20: $5,200 6+ Hold’em [6-Max], $250K guarantee on Dec 9 which is expected to turn out into one of the biggest 6+ Hold’em Short Deck online tournaments.

Main Event Has $2 Million Guarantee

The highlight of the High Roller poker festival will be the $5,200 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event] which has a $2 million guarantee. This is a 4 day event which runs from Dec 8 to 11. The buy-in to the Main Event has been made reasonably affordable to enable as many poker players as possible to participate.

Poker pros who have big bankrolls will be interested in the $1 million dollar guaranteed events such as the: High Rollers 01: $10,300 NLHE; High Rollers 08: $10,300 NLHE [8-Max] and High Rollers 14: $10,300 NLHE [8-Max, Progressive KO].

PokerStars is also running a number of satellite events to help players qualify for High Rollers at a fraction of the buy-in cost. Do check out the PokerStars website for more information.
