2023 Golden Nugget Grand Poker Series – Key Events

This year’s schedule covers a wide range of poker variants, including Pot-Limit Omaha, Mixed Triple Draw Lowball, H.O.R.S.E., Triple Stud, Big O, Limit 2-7 Lowball and the popular Mystery Bounty format. Players can enter the series for as low as $130, with the highest buy-in set at $1,100.

The festival kicks off with the $300 buy-in, $10,000 GTD Omaha Hi/Low 8 or Better, with three more events scheduled for the opening day. Throughout the series, players have at least three tournaments to choose from each day, most of which have buy-ins of between $130 and $300.

Among the key events on the schedule is a $200 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em tournament which comes with a huge $200,000 guarantee. It gets underway on June 1 and features nine Day 1 flights which will run until June 3. Day 2 of the tournament takes place on June 4.

Players may also take a shot at a Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em event which runs almost daily and guarantees $10,000 for a buy-in of only $150. A $200 buy-in version of the tournament is also included in the schedule and offers $25,000 in guaranteed prize money.

The Daily Deep Stack is a staple on this year’s schedule alongside the $130 buy-in, $5K GTD Nightly No-Limit Hold’em.

In addition to that, there’s a $300 buy-in Mystery Bounty event taking place from June 16-19. The tournament comes with $250,000 in guarantees and features nine starting flights.

Most eyes will be on the Grand Poker Series Championship event which makes a return this year. The buy-in remains unchanged at $600, with a $500,000 guarantee on offer. Players can get in via three Day 1 flights running from June 23-25. Surviving players play down to a winner on June 26.

Looking Forward to Another Successful Year

In 2022, the Golden Nugget Poker Series pulled in a total of 18,209 entries to create $4,532,670 in total prize pool, smashing its target by more than $1 million. Among the biggest winners was Spencer Champlin who won the $500K GTD Grand Poker Series Championship for $111,715.

The festival will build on that success, taking advantage of the busy summer for poker in Las Vegas.
