WSOP MI Players Will Have Exclusive Access To Mystery Bounty Ring Event
Summary
- The WSOP MI Online Circuit Series features a $30K GTD Mystery Bounty event
- It’s the first time that the format is being played as a gold ring event in the US
- The WSOP could include Mystery Bounty in the online bracelet schedule
For the first time, the WSOP has added a Mystery Bounty event to its US Online Circuit Series schedule, a testament to the format’s increasing popularity.
However, not all WSOP.com players will be able to take a shot at the Mystery Bounty ring event, as it is only available to those in Michigan.
The WSOP Online Circuit Series is currently running across all of WSOP.com’s US markets in New Jersey/Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. The series kicked off on February 17 and will take place until February 28. Players in each state compete in 12 ring events, with the NJ/NV series featuring the biggest guaranteed prize pool of more than $1 million.
Mystery Bounty Ring Event on WSOP MI
Just like WSOP PA, the online circuit series on WSOP MI features $260,000 in guarantees, but players will be delighted to know that a Mystery Bounty tournament is included in the schedule.
Event #9: $215 buy-in Mystery Bounty No Limit Hold’em 8-Handed takes place on February 25, with $30,000 in guaranteed prize money up for grabs. The tournament will run exclusively on WSOP MI.
The tournament features three re-entries, with blind level lengths of 10 minutes. The Mystery Bounty element comes into play at the start of the 20th level. On top of the top prize and the gold ring, the winner of the Mystery Bounty event will also earn automatic entry into the invite-only Tournament of Champions which will take place during the 2023 WSOP live festival in Las Vegas.
Mystery Bounty Could be Offered as Online Bracelet Event
Mystery Bounty was first introduced by WSOP MI in late January, with its Pennsylvania counterpart following suit shortly after. The tournaments initially ran on WSOP MI just once a day, with guarantees of between $1,000 and $5,000.
But with the format attracting plenty of players, the site eventually decided to expand the schedule, with Michiganders now able to play Mystery Bounty tournaments multiple times each day. Every Tuesday, WSOP MI ups the guarantee to $10,000.
As the Mystery Bounty format can now be played as a gold ring event, it’s highly likely that the WSOP will also include it in the online bracelet schedule.
