GGPoker: Road To VegasSummary

  • 600 Main Event seats via GGPoker’s Road to Vegas campaign
  • Aimed at creating a new attendance record for the WSOP Main Event
  • Another $1m will be awarded to the GGPoker qualifier who ends up winning the Main Event

GGPoker’s ongoing partnership with the World Series of Poker (WSOP) has greatly benefited players, with the alliance paving the way for hundreds of players to take a shot at the $10,000 buy-in WSOP Main Event for a fraction of the price.

This year, GGPoker will be sending 600 lucky players to the prestigious tournament, and if one of them ends up winning the title, that player will receive an extra $1 million as a bonus!

2023 GGPoker Road to Vegas Campaign

The Main Event seat giveaway is part of GGPoker’s 2023 Road to Vegas campaign in which players get the chance to win their way into the $10,000 buy-in event via online satellites.

The online poker operator will award 600 Main Event packages, 500 of which will be given away via the GGPoker site, while 100 will be awarded to players on ClubGG, GGPoker’s subscription-based app. The total figure is more than double the number of players sent by GGPoker to the 2022 WSOP Main Event.

GGPoker is upping the numbers in line with the WSOP’s main goal of setting a new all-time attendance record for the Main Event. The biggest-ever Main Event turnout was achieved in 2006 when the tournament attracted 8,773 players to generate $82.5 million in total prize pool. Organizers are hoping to smash that record this year and GGPoker’s Road to Vegas campaign will play a key role in making that happen.

The campaign got underway on March 19 and each week, GGPoker will award dozens of WSOP Main Event packages. Each package, worth $12,000, includes the $10,000 buy-in, seven-night stay at the Horseshoe Las Vegas Hotel & Casino (July 1-8), and $1,000 in travel expenses. Qualifiers will also receive merchandise & gifts and enjoy access to the GGPoker Platinum Lounge.

Extra $1M Up for Grabs

In 2022, the Main Event winner, Espen Jørstad, took home a massive $10 million in top prize. This year, if one of the 600 GGPoker qualifiers ends up claiming the crown, then that player could win as much as $11 million (assuming the first-place prize is kept at $10 million). That’s because GGPoker is giving away an additional $1 million as a bonus!

If GGPoker made a similar offer last year, Jørstad would have walked away with $11 million as he was one of the 129 players who won their way into the Main Event via the site’s Road to Vegas campaign.
