Texas Hold’em Poker Makes a Grand Comeback

The revenue figures indicate that Texas Hold’em Poker has made a grand comeback in 2023. According to Alidad Tash, the managing director of 2NT8 Limited, an industry consultancy, the data indicates that post-pandemic poker players are younger and better at playing poker.

Tash said that Grand Lisboa Palace and MGM offered poker tables that received a positive response from younger poker players. The consultant also said that MGM introduced 200 extra poker tables, enabling the operator to explore the post-pandemic poker market, which they used to generate revenue and figure out the potential of cross-play.

Macau Casino Properties Offer More Poker Tables

Macau casino regulators authorized MGM China to offer 1,700 gaming machines and 750 gaming tables under a new gaming license that became active in January. In June, the company opened new poker zones in its properties, MGM Cotai and MGM Macau.

By early October 2023, several casino properties across Macau had launched new poker zones to attract players.

Players can enjoy their favourite game of Texas Hold’em in several poker zones across Macau, including the Wynn Macau, a property in the downtown peninsula belonging to Wynn Macau Limited; MGM China’s properties in Cotai and Macau, the Grand Lisboa Palace belonging to SJM Holdings Limited, and the Venetian Macau belonging to Sands China Limited.
