Most of the top poker tournaments for 2023 are coming to a close as operators take a break during the Christmas holidays and then come back strong in the New Year.
There is still one big poker tournament on the cards as the DeepStack Extravaganza (NYE) Tournament Series will look to close out 2023 and bring in the New Year with a bang.
DeepStack Extravaganza (NYE) Tournament Series
The DeepStack Extravaganza (NYE) Tournament Series will take place at the popular Venetian Resort Las Vegas and run from Dec 25 to Jan 7 and nearly $1 million in prize money will be given away during the series.
The top attraction during this tournament will be the Card Player Poker Tour (CPPT) Main Event which has a $1,600 buy-in and will commence from Jan 4. The CPPT Venetian Main Event is popular with poker players in Las Vegas and will mark the 13th Main Event.
During the last 12 CPPT Main Event’s, close to 5,900 registrations have come in and just over $19.6 million in prize money has been awarded. Jon Turner has had the most success and has won the CPPT Venetian Main Event on two occasions and has won over $737,000 in prize money.
Poker players should also keep an eye out on the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Main Event which has a $1,100 buy-in and runs from Dec 28 to Dec 30.
Mid-Stakes Players Will Find A Lot Of Action
The DeepStack Extravaganza (NYE) Tournament Series will appeal mostly to mid-stakes players as the buy-ins range from $200 to $1,600. All of the events taking place come with a guaranteed prize pool that ranges from $5,000 to $400,000. A total of 19 events will take place during this tournament and players can get detailed information by checking out the Venetian poker room.
Some of the events that will appeal to mid-stakes players includes the $600 No-Limit Hold’em Epic Bounty event which starts Jan 02 and has $30,000 prize pool and the $600 No-Limit Hold’em EpicStack event which starts Jan 03 and also has a $30,000 prize pool.
