Benny Glaser has been unstoppable at the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) which is currently underway on PokerStars. The poker pro from the UK has now won a total of six titles in the ongoing series, further extending his COOP record.

Glaser’s Top-Class Performance at 2023 WCOOP

Glaser securing multiple titles in a COOP series comes as no surprise. Prior to entering the 2023 WCOOP, the Southampton native held the record for most COOP titles (SCOOP – 10, WCOOP – 8). Now, he has cemented his reputation as an online beast after adding an impressive six titles to his COOP record.

His first two wins of the 2023 WCOOP came in the WCOOP 16-M: $109 FL Badugi 6-Max ($3,550) and the WCOOP $1,050 World Championship of 2-7 Triple Draw ($22,650). His most recent victories came just days from each other – Glaser took down WCOOP 50-H: $1,050 NL 2-7 Single Draw for $19,490 and then followed it up with another first-place win in WCOOP 53-H: $2,100 PLO8 6-Max for $44,201.

Glaser continued his winning streak, taking down WCOOP 61-H: $1,050 NL 5-Card Draw for $14,207 on September 24, earning his fifth title of the series and extending his COOP record to 23 victories. That was already a massive title haul and Glaser’s best WCOOP performance by far, surpassing his 2022 record of four WCOOP titles.

But Glaser isn’t done yet. Just a day after clinching his fifth title of the current series, the UK poker pro went on to win WCOOP 68-M: $320 NLHE 6-Max to claim $55,705 in top prize, his biggest score so far at the ongoing festival.

That means Glaser now has a total of 14 WCOOP titles and 24 COOP titles overall. With plenty of events yet to play out, Glaser could very well win a few more.

The 2023 WCOOP runs until October 4 on PokerStars.

Veldhuis Continues WCOOP Title Chase

lex veldhuisWhile Glaser continues to make waves at the 2023 WCOOP with his multiple victories, one player remains on the hunt for his maiden WCOOP title and he’s slowly getting there. PokerStars ambassador Lex Veldhuis has yet to win a WCOOP event but he might just get it this year if we look at his recent performances.

He has had several deep runs at the series, the biggest of which was a 3rd-place finish for $58,065 in the WCOOP 56-H: $5,200 NLHE 6-Max Turbo High Roller. He also came close to winning his first WCOOP title when he finished second in the $1,050 NLHE Turbo event for $34,067.
