The official numbers at the recently-concluded The Festival Online (TFO) on 888poker are now out and they did not disappoint. Taking place from March 19 to April 13, the festival featured $1 million in total guarantees, spread out across dozens of events.

It ended up attracting over 16,000 entries to generate almost $1.1 million in total prize pool, surpassing its initial guarantee!

The Festival Online – Facts & Figures

The 2023 TFO schedule was comprised of a total of 28 tournaments and most of them (almost 61%) managed to hit their guarantees. After 25 days of online poker action, the festival paid out $1,046,870 in total prizes, nearly 5% above its initial $1 million guarantee.

The best performer of the pack in terms of busting the guarantees is the $150,000 GTD Texas PKO 8-Max which collected $189,450 in total prize pool, nearly $40,000 above its guarantee.

Other poker tournaments which exceeded their guarantees include the $40,000 GTD Mystery Bounty High Roller Opening Event ($12K above GTD), the $100,000 GTD Mystery Bounty Opening Event ($7,200 above GTD), $40,000 GTD High Roller PKO 8-Max ($6,000 above GTD), and the $12,000 GTD PKO 8-Max ($6,000 above GTD).

As expected, the Main Event awarded the largest prize pool, though it drew just enough players (992) to hit its $200K guarantee. Second on the list of events with the biggest prize pools is the $150K GTD Texas PKO 8-Max ($189,450), followed by the $100K GTD Mystery Bounty Opening Event ($107,200) and the $100K GTD Sunday Big Shot 109 ($100,000).

Six out of the 28 tournaments attracted more than 1,000 entries, including the $8,000 GTD Micro Mystery Bounty Closing event with 1,636 (the biggest field of the series), and the $25,000 GTD Mini Mystery Bounty Closing event (1,450 entries).

Brazilian Players Dominate 2023 TFO

Brazilians ranked no.1 in most titles won with six showing yet again they’re a force to be reckoned with when it comes to online poker competitions. German players scooped three titles, two of which were won by the same player, 777CCC343.

Ukraine, Finland, Malta, and Lithuania each won two titles, while Vietnam, Denmark, Sweden, Belarus, Montenegro, Romania, Canada, Iceland, and Argentina took home one title.
