WSOP Circuit To Commence 17th Season From Nov 2021

WSOP Circuit EventsUS live tournament poker players have had to wait for over a year to get access to some qualify live poker action. Thousands of poker players are currently enjoying themselves playing at the 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) which is underway at the Rio in Las Vegas.

As soon as the 2021 WSOP comes to an end on Nov 23, poker player will have more live poker action as the WSOP Circuit (WSOPC) has announced its return after being sidelined for 18 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 17th season of the WSOPC features 13 stops as of now and three of those stops are set to take place before the end of 2021. The WSOP has only released a partial schedule for the 17th season and more stops are expected to be added as we head into 2022. From the schedule, we can see that three new stops have been added to the tour.

Poker players in Florida can head over to the Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park as the WSOPC will stop over in Feb 2022. The tour will also head over to Verona, New York in March with a stop at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino. Canadian players will be happy to know the WSOPC will show up in Alberta at the Deerfoot Inn and Casino in early Jan 2022.

The first stop of the 2021-2022 WSOPC will be at Harrah’s Cherokee (North Carolina). The WSOPC stop here from Nov 25 to Dec 6 and offer players a number of exciting events. All events that have a buy-in of over $250 will be for a WSOPC ring. The highlight of this stop will be the $1,700 WSOPC Main Event.

Tournament of Champions

Do take note that the WSOPC has decided to rebrand its Global Casino Championship into Tournament of Champions. It will still go with the $1 million freeroll but participants will be by invitation only.

Players who end up winning a WSOPC ring playing online or live events will automatically be eligible to take part in the Tournament of Champions event. The 2021-2022 WSOPC season will conclude in July 2022 and then the full list of WSOPC ring winners will get to battle it out during the Tournament of Champions events which is set to take place during the 2022 WSOP.
