World Series of PokerSummary:

  • The WSOP hints that the 2024 schedule could be out this month
  • More bracelets could be up for grabs this year with the addition of at least five new events
  • US players may secure a seat in the Main Event via freeroll satellites on WSOP US

The 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) full schedule could be released in the coming days as the excitement builds up for the biggest poker event of the year after the success of the 2023 WSOP.

If the WSOP’s recent tweet is any indication, the final line-up of events could be out before the end of January, which means players will have all the time in the world to plan out their poker activities for the upcoming summer.

Bigger WSOP Schedule Awaits Players and Fans

Before closing out 2023, the WSOP confirmed the dates for this year’s live festival. It will run from May 28 to July 17 at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. Initial details of some of the key events of the series were also released – the Main Event is scheduled for July 3-17, with the Millionaire Maker, Seniors Championship, and Mystery Millions also making a return.

As we eagerly wait for the full schedule of the 55th WSOP, it’s difficult not to speculate on what’s in store for players, particularly in terms of the number of bracelets that will be up for grabs. Over the years, the number has kept growing – from 62 in 2013 to 115 in 2023 – and we can assume more will be on offer this year. Organizers could add at least five more events to the live schedule and could do the same for the online version.

A bigger schedule is almost a certainty and players and fans will welcome that with open arms.

As for the tournaments that will officially be on the list this year, mainstays like the $1,500 Monster Stack, $400 Colossus and Casino Employees Event will most likely return. Players can also look forward to more Mystery Bounty events added to the line-up.

Organizers are also expected to include another small buy-in event in the schedule, much like last year’s $300 Gladiator of Poker which attracted a massive field of over 23,000 entries and paid out nearly $500,000 to the winner.

WSOP US Hosting Freeroll Satellites to Main Event this Jan. 31

The WSOP will look to set a new record this year, especially in the Main Event, just like what it did in 2023, and efforts have already begun to achieve that. On January 31, WSOP’s online platforms in the US will host freeroll satellites to the Main Event.

The satellites are open to players in New Jersey, Nevada, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. To get in, players only need to make a deposit by January 29.
