Live WSOP Festivals To Take Place in Las Vegas and Rozvadov In 2021
The 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) will run from September 30 to November 23 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. An online series, catering to both domestic and international players, will also get underway in July 2021. The full details and schedule of the live WSOP and its virtual counterpart will be announced soon!
While the full schedule of the live WSOP this fall is still being finalized, it is expected to include a charity event for frontline health workers. It will run during the opening weekend, alongside a $5 million-guaranteed “The Reunion” no-limit hold-em event, as well as a $25,000 buy-in H.O.R.S.E. tournament.
The series will be headlined by the $10,000 Main Event, which will take place from November 4-14, featuring four Day 1s running from November 4-7.
Those keen on taking part in the upcoming series can now book a room at any Caesars Entertainment-owned resorts in Las Vegas, including the Rio. Caesars Rewards members can make reservations for as low as $60.
WSOP Europe Returns
WSOP action is also returning to the King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, with the 2021 WSOP Europe scheduled to take place from November 19 to December 8. Players will compete in 15 gold bracelet events, headlined by a €10,000 buy-in WSOP Europe Main Event. The schedule will also feature a €50,000 High Roller tournament.
The complete details of the European series will also be released soon. Players can now make room reservations at King’s Casino.
WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart said they are looking forward to returning to the live felts and continue to deliver memorable experiences to the poker community. The WSOP team are hopeful that travel restrictions will not be as tight by the fall, though they also emphasized the need to follow minimum safety guidelines and protocols to protect everyone from the threat of COVID-19. They must also first obtain the necessary regulatory approvals for the events to proceed.
2021 WSOP Online Series
Officials have also confirmed that an online bracelet series will also take place on WSOP.com (domestic leg) and GGPoker (international leg). The domestic portion of the series will kick off on WSOP.com’s All American Poker Network on July 1, and it will culminate in a $1,000 championship event. US Poker players will need to wait until April 15, 2021 to know the full schedule of the domestic leg. It will be published on WSOP.com
Officials will also release more details on the international portion of the festival as soon as the WSOP.com schedule is finalized.
