The Kings of Tallinn Summer Showdown is back for another edition this year, fresh off from a successful festival held in February. The upcoming poker series is scheduled to run from July 21-30 at the Olympic Park Casino and Hilton Tallinn Park.

The 10-day festival is jam-packed with 53 events, featuring a wide range of buy-ins and formats.

Kings of Tallinn Summer Showdown

The Kings of Tallinn Summer Showdown schedule features a wide variety of formats and variants, including the traditional No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha, NLHE/PLO Mix, Finnish Five Card Stud Pot Limit, 8-Game, Sviten Special, and Open Face Chinese Pineapple.

A number of progressive bounties and mystery bounties are also spread out throughout the schedule. Players can enter the series for as low as €60, with the highest buy-in set at €5,000. The schedule/tournament structure was developed by renowned tournament director Teresa Nousiainen.

With such a diverse line-up, it’s quite difficult to choose which event players should watch out for. However, as is the case with other major festivals, the Main Event serves as the main highlight. The €1,100 NLHE Main Event has three Day 1 flights running from July 26-27, with the final action scheduled for July 30. For those who cannot afford the €1,100 buy-in, there are mega satellites available for only €150 taking place from July 24-26.

The 2023 Kings of Tallinn festival held in February also ran a €1,100 Main Event which attracted a record-breaking field of 716 entries. In the end, it was Estonia’s Priit Parmasto who walked away with the title and €97,000 in first-place prize following a three-way deal with Petteri Laiho (2nd, €102,500) and Antti Vetelainen (3rd, €90,000), both of whom are from Finland.

Team Competition Offers Extra Prizes

Another exciting event to be on the lookout for at the upcoming Kings of Tallinn Summer Showdown is the return of the Team Competition. Players can form a four-member team and take part in the contest where extra prizes are up for grabs. Organizers will reserve 2% of the prize pools from qualifying events for the Team Competition and that will be shared by the top five teams.

It will be a points-based competition, wherein the winning team is determined by the total points accumulated by each team member throughout the series. The points are awarded whenever a player cashes in any of the qualifying events.

Players may register their teams for free and they will receive custom T-shirts upon registering.
