When it comes to the best live high stakes poker tournaments in the world, the Triton Poker series is right up there and when it comes to the best high stakes poker players in the world, Jason Koon is definitely going to be on the list.

So it comes as no surprise to see Koon playing at the 2023 Triton Cyprus High Roller Series.

Koon Now Has Over $3.6M In Winnings at Triton Cyprus

The 2023 Triton Cyprus High Roller Series took place in North Cyrus and some of the biggest high stakes poker pros in the world made their way to Cyprus to compete for millions of dollars in prize money which was given away during the series.

West Virginia‘s Jason Koon had an impressive run in Cyprus as he ended up winning over $3.6 million in prize money. He finished 7th in one event on 14th May and took home $ 241,000, finished in 2nd place for one of the events on 20th May and won $239,551. However, his biggest success and highest payout came during the 2023 Triton Poker Cyprus HRS Main Event.

The Main Event had a buy-in of $100,000 and a total of 65 players entered the event. Some of the big names at the final table were Steve O’Dwyer, Dan Smith, Jason Koon, Henrik Hecklen and Sam Greenwood.

Koon and Greenwood were the final two players at the table and Koon ended up getting the better of Greenwood to win the 2023 Triton Poker Cyprus HRS Main Event and take home a first prize of $2,451,082 while Greenwood collected a cool $1,923,918 for his second place finish.

Jason Koon now has over $47.3 million in total career winnings according to the Hendon Mob and is now ranked in 5th place on the All Time Money list and in first place on West Virginia’s All Time Money list.

Koon and Smith Get Into Heated Exchange

There was some drama during the final table as Koon and Dan Smith got into an argument. Smith did not want players talking at the table and was told off by Koon for his behaviour. Koon also called Smith “obnoxious” for tanking on multiple occasions. Smith finished in 5th place and won $762,000.
