Global Poker Announces Celebrity Challenge From Sep 18 to Nov 13
- The Celebrity Challenge kicks off on September 18
- Players get the chance to win a Ferrari Race Day experience in North America

Global Poker is hosting a celebrity challenge that will give poker players the opportunity to compete against famous names in the world of sports and music.
The Global Poker Celebrity Challenge will run from September 18 – November 13, with prizes up for grabs as well as donations to charities.
Global Poker Celebrity Challenge – Key Details
The celebrities taking part in the Global Poker Celebrity Challenge include the most decorated athlete in Olympic history, American swimmer Michael Phelps; NBA superstars Karl-Anthony Towns (plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves) and Paul George (plays for the LA Clippers); and American DJ, record producer, and record executive DJ Khaled.

First, the celebrities will compete with each other heads-up, which means there will be four heads-up matches. The duels will be followed by four Celebrity Challenge Finals where players on Global Poker will be allowed to battle it out with the stars.
Those keen on competing against these four celebrities should take note of the schedule below:
Paul George Celebrity Challenge (September 19 – October 1); Karl-Anthony Towns Celebrity Challenge (October 2-15); Michael Phelps Celebrity Challenge (October 16-29); DJ Khaled Celebrity Challenge (October 30 – November 12).
After the conclusion of the celebrity challenges, there will be a Global Poker Player Celebrity Challenge Grand Final on November 12, and a Celebrity Challenge Grand Final on November 13.
David Lyons, Global Poker General Manager, said the challenge will enable them to bring a unique and authentic poker experience to a larger audience.
Prizes & Charity Donations
Global Poker will be hosting Sweeps Coins Qualifiers for its players ahead of the showdowns, and these qualifiers will come with extra prizes, such as exclusive Global Poker swag signed by the four celebrities.
The winner of the Global Poker Celebrity Challenge Grand Final (Nov. 12) will win a Ferrari Race Day experience of their choice in North America. After that, the four stars will face each other again in the Celebrity Challenge Grand Final (Nov. 13), where those finishing in the top three will donate a total of $90,000 to their selected charities. George has already picked a charity that he will support – the American Heart Association.
