GGPoker Creates New Record

GGPoker once again played host to the WSOP Online bracelet series which wrapped up this week on a high note. The festival’s flagship event, the $5,000 WSOP Online Main Event, broke its own record after attracting a total of 6,023 entries to generate $28,609,250 in total prize money, way beyond the tournament’s advertised guarantee of $25 million.

The 2023 WSOP Online Main Event featured almost two dozen starting flights, giving as many players as possible the chance to take a shot. In the end, the tournament managed to smash the figures it generated back in 2020 – 5,802 entries and $27,559,500 in total prize pool – to set a new record.

2023 has also turned out to be a huge year for Bert “girafganger7” Stevens as he ended up winning the record-breaking tournament for a cool $2,783,433 in top prize. Stevens entered heads-up play with a massive chip lead against Yagen Li. He never relinquished that position and cruised to victory, earning the biggest score of his career.

GGPoker Remains Unstoppable

GGPoker has been making waves in the online poker scene since expanding globally in 2017. In recent years, it has continued to achieve massive success, boosted by its partnership with the WSOP.

In 2020, it earned a Guinness World Record for the largest prize pool in a single online poker tournament. The following year, GGPoker dethroned its rival operator PokerStars as the world’s largest online poker site. Fast-forward to today and GGPoker is celebrating another massive achievement yet again following the overwhelming turnout of players in the WSOP Online Main Event.

GGPoker continues to flourish. The site has some of the most remarkable features that appeal to players, including its innovative software, staking platform, prop bets and social features like SnapCam and Splash. Let’s also not forget that the operator remains a top destination for huge tournaments and exciting promotions.

Most importantly, GGPoker never gets tired of innovating and improving its offerings, earning the trust and enthusiasm of the poker community.
