Summary:
- The tournament runs from February 18-26 and is open to players in Asia, Europe and the Americas

- GGMasters is now in its fourth year, having launched in 2020
GGPoker players are in for a treat this February as the operator announced another overlay edition of its popular tournament, GGMasters.
The GGMasters Overlay Edition returns with $10 million in guarantees, offering massive value for players in Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
GGMasters Overlay Edition – Key Details
The GGMasters Overlay Edition boasts a $10 million guaranteed prize pool and runs from February 18 to 26. With the buy-in kept at $150, the tournament must attract a total of 72,464 entries to hit its guarantee, which is nearly impossible. The tournament is designed for this purpose anyway, with GGPoker anticipating an overlay. In 2023, the operator ended up adding just over $1,000,000 to meet the guarantee and it could do the same this year.
The upcoming GGMasters Overlay Edition is open to players in Asia, Europe, and the Americas and features nine Day 1 flights. As usual, the online poker tournament will adopt a freezeout format, which means there will be no re-entries or rebuys. Players will only have one shot per starting flight. Day 2 is scheduled for February 26.
Players may secure a seat for a more affordable price, with qualifiers available for as low as 25 cents.
Last year, the tournament featured the same $10 million guarantee but only drew 64,622 entrants. Falling short of its target by $1,082,164, the 2023 tournament recorded the third-largest overlay in online poker history. In 2021, GGPoker had to add $400,000 to the prize pool to hit the $5,000,000 guarantee.
GGMasters Celebrates 4th Anniversary
Launched in January 2020, GGMasters has grown to become one of GGPoker’s most popular and successful tournaments. The tournament, which originally featured a $250,000 guarantee, initially suffered overlays due to not enough players participating. GGPoker was not bothered by that and instead upped the guaranteed prize money to $500,000. The operator’s efforts paid off as the tournament has now been attracting huge turnouts each week.
Building on that success, GGPoker decided to expand the GGMasters schedule, with more tournaments added to the line-up. Players now compete for $2.5 million in combined guarantees each week across multiple tournaments, which include the $1,000 buy-in, $1,000,000GTD GGMasters High Rollers which take place every Sunday.
