The 2023 Bar Poker Open Florida World Championship runs from November 16 to 20 at the Palm Beach Kennel Club. The festival opens with the $250 buy-in Florida Special which is one of the highlight events of the series. The tournament comes with a $100,000 guarantee and features four Day 1 flights running from November 16-17, with Day 2 scheduled for November 18.
Other events on the schedule include the following: $180 Friday Night Deep Stack (November 17), $160 Progressive Bounty (November 18), $124 Pot Limit Omaha (November 19), $180 Deepstack Finale (November 20), and $125 Grand Finale Survivor (November 20).
Also part of the line-up is a Celebrity Charity Tournament organized by the Charity Series of Poker (CSOP), a non-profit organization that raises money and awareness for worthy charities and causes via charity poker tournaments. The CSOP Celebrity Charity Tournament costs $150 to enter and takes place on November 19.
$365 Florida World BPO Championship
The main highlight of the series is the Florida World BPO Championship which has an entry fee of $365. The Florida poker tournament has two starting flights scheduled for November 18 and 19, with the winner set to be crowned on November 20. The final table action will be televised.
As with other BPO Championship events, this tournament is not open to the public as there is a dedicated qualification process that must be followed by players. They may secure their seats through their local bars that host BPO events. Such events award tokens to the top 3 finishers which they can then use to enter any BPO Championship tournament.
Players have other options to enter – they may do so by collecting league points and finishing on top of the Super League standings, or qualifying online during an official BPO-sanctioned match.
The latest player to claim the BPO Championship title was Edward Holt who won the BPO Vegas World Championship back in June for $100,000 in first-place prize, the biggest top prize in BPO history. The Florida version will award $50,000 to the winner.
