Unibet Poker announced earlier last week that they will be leaving the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN) and launching its standalone network in early April, 2014. The company further indicated that it will be working closely with a gaming developer, Relax Gaming that will be providing a social gaming platform to all its players.
The Head of Gaming at Unibet, Daniel Eskola said,
online poker industry is changing year on year and Unibet being part of a poker Network is not feasible in the long run. By moving away from MPN creates a new page for us, starting from scratch and building our own foundation. We believe that we will focus mainly on creating software that focuses on the casual player and also delivers fun poker gaming experience.
We need to gain more control on the product and we having been working with Relax Gaming for the past 6 months and they seem up for the challenge.
The new software will come with more achievements and rewards, players will not have the ability to save their hand history for software tracking purposes and the ability to change your alias makes tracking more impossible.
In terms of security, we have a good system that is able to detect if players are using chip-dumping, colluding or bots.
The new software comes with a new user-interface that includes 3D backgrounds, a new lobby, players having the ability to change screen names and avatars, and a whole lot of new gaming features.
An added advantage of the new software is that it is available on Mac and PC download version as well as offering the flash (direct play online) and mobile version. Its mobile version supports the tablets for both Android and iOS.
