A Class A can land you in jail for a year and cost you $2,000 on top of that. A Class B misdemeanor is punishable by up to six months behind bars and a $1,000 fine. Class C misdemeanors carry a maximum penalty of 15 days of jail time and up to a $750 fine.
Visitors and residents of Missouri can legally play casino-style games, including poker, at 13 licensed casinos anchored or cruising along Missouri’s two largest rivers. Additionally, an effort has been made to provide an additional casino license and legalize water-based gambling on the Osage River. The state is yet to enact any laws in that regard.
