XL Blizzard Returns to 888poker With Over $1.4M In GTD

The popular XL Blizzard poker series is returning to 888poker in a few weeks!

Running from February 6-16, the online poker festival is offering over $1.4 million in guarantees, spread across a total of 34 tournaments.

Players of all levels can get in on the action, with buy-ins starting from as low as $5.50, all the way up to $320. 888poker will also be running tons of satellites, giving players the opportunity to win their way into huge events at a more affordable price.

The main attraction of the festival is the $500,000-guaranteed Main Event, taking place on February 16, but there are a number of several other huge events on the schedule as well, including the $100,000-guaranteed XL Blizzard Tune Up on February 9, and a $320 buy-in High Roller guaranteeing $100,000, happening on February 11. The details are indicated below:

XL Blizzard #1 – $50,000 Opening Event

The series begins with the $109 buy-in Opening Event on February 6, offering $50,000 in guarantees. Players start the action with 30,000 in chips, played in 15-minute levels. They can re-enter three times, within the 210-minute late registration period.

XL Blizzard #10 – $100,000 Tune Up

Among the highlights of the festival is the Tune Up event, taking place on February 9. Players will compete for $100,000 in guarantees for a buy-in of just $106.

The event features 50,000 in starting chips, with 15-minute blind levels. It will also allow three re-entries within a 260-minute late registration period.

XL Blizzard #17 – $100,000 High Roller

Players looking for some high-level action can take part in the $320 buy-in High Roller, which features $100,000 in guarantees. It is the highest buy-in event on the schedule and takes place on February 11.

It adopts a similar structure as the Tune-Up, with levels increasing every 15 minutes. Up to three re-entries are allowed during a 260-minute late registration period.

XL Blizzard #32 – $500,000 Main Event

The $250 buy-in Main Event is set to give away $500,000 to winners – the festival’s biggest prize money. Players begin with 50,000 in chips, played in 20-minute levels.

The event also has the longest registration period at 5 hours, with players allowed to reenter up to three times.

Online Qualifiers

888poker will also be hosting plenty of qualifiers, including two freerolls running daily. To take part in these freerolls, you need to register with 888poker (if you don’t have an account yet), and make a deposit.
