WPT To Launch Promotions Across EU & Asia With FansUnite

The World Poker Tour (WPT) recently announced that it has entered into a partnership with blockchain sportsbook company FansUnite Entertainment Inc in order to launch promotions across the European Union (EU) and Asia.

Blockchain technology is the platform that cryptocurrency industries run on and the technology provides a wide range of benefits including global peer-to-peer transactions, increase in overall efficiency, significantly reducing the costs of transactions, better security and greater transparency.

Some of the top organizations across multiple industries have jumped on the blockchain bandwagon and it is no surprise that the WPT has also decided to go down this route. The partnership with FansUnite will allow the WPT to leverage the blockchain sportsbook’s wide range of services that will allow them to offer millions of players across Asia and Europe a better gaming experience.

Darius Eghdami, the CEO of FansUnite was happy to partner with one of the biggest and most recognized poker brands in the world. Eghdami said that his company was excited to introduce its innovative blockchain technology and impact millions of WPT poker players through strategic integrations and offerings which include getting a spot on WPT Season XV episodes which will be televised in Europe.

Poker Expected To Benefit From This Partnership

The partnership with FansUnite is also expected to provide numerous benefits to the WPT’s poker offering. While specific details have yet to be announced, the two companies will work together to improve the WPT’s poker offering.

There are a number of poker sites that have looked at migrating to the blockchain because it provides their players with a lot more safety and security. Eghdami pointed this out and said one of the biggest concerns that poker players face is regarding the security of their financial information and control of their cash.

Blockchain will allow poker players to have control of their cash till the very second they decide to put their chips on the table. The levels of transparency will also increase which will create a better relationship of trust between poker players and the poker room.
