World Poker Tour: IndiaIndia’s love for poker is going to get a lot stronger as the World Poker Tour (WPT) has returned to Indian shores for the second time.

WPT India is being billed as the biggest live poker tournament to take place in the country and is currently underway in Goa.

Goa is the only state in India that has both offshore and onshore gambling venues. Deltin Royale which is a popular floating casino is playing host to WPT India which kicked-off on Nov 13 and will conclude on Nov 19.

The first edition of WPT India which took place in Nov 2017 turned out to be quite a success and resulted in the WPT launching its second edition. The 2018 WPT India edition is expected to be bigger and better as it is filled with action packed events, massive guarantees and exciting prizes.

The Main Event will be the start of the show and has a 55,000 rupee buy-in. The 2017 Main Event saw a total of 527 registrations which brought the guaranteed prize pool to 2.8 crore rupees and gave the winner Vikash Mantri a whopping 60 lakh rupees. Tournament organizers expect this year’s Main Event to bring in over 600 player registrations which means a bigger prize pool and better payouts for everyone finishing in the money.
