{"id":917,"date":"2015-11-03T12:26:16","date_gmt":"2015-11-03T12:26:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/?p=917"},"modified":"2015-11-03T12:26:16","modified_gmt":"2015-11-03T12:26:16","slug":"pokerstars-make-major-changes-to-vip-loyalty-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/news\/pokerstars-make-major-changes-to-vip-loyalty-program","title":{"rendered":"PokerStars Make Major Changes To VIP Loyalty Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2013\/04\/pokerstars-logo.jpg\" alt=\"Pokerstars\" width=\"300\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-141\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2013\/04\/pokerstars-logo.jpg 380w, https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2013\/04\/pokerstars-logo-300x197.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 380px) 100vw, 380px\">Canadian based <strong>Amaya Inc<\/strong>, the owners of <a href=\"\/reviews\/pokerstars\">PokerStars<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/full-tilt-poker\">Full Tilt Poker<\/a> has rolled out a number of changes during the past 12 months as the company looks to build both brands by innovating and launching initiatives that will build customer satisfaction and loyalty.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PokerStars<\/strong>, the biggest online poker website in the world recently announced that the leadership team had decided to make a number of changes to its online poker product and especially to its VIP loyalty program. <\/p>\n<p>The new changes to the popular VIP loyalty program will look to provide a better incentive and reward payout to a higher number of players and encourage more competition when compared to high volume play. <\/p>\n<p>Many of the high volume <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pokerstars.uk\/vip\/supernova\/elite\/\">SupernovaElite (SNE)<\/a> and Supernova status players will be impacted by these changes as the VIP club rewards is now fixed at 30 percent. Those players, who move up to SNE status this year, will have their rewards fixed at 45 percent in 2016. Most of the lower tiers will not be affected by the new changes. PokerStars also confirmed that there will no longer be VPPs for no-limit and pot-limit games where blinds range from  $5-$10+, eight-game $10-$20+ and also for other limit games where blinds range from $10-$15+. The company plans to roll out these changes from the 1st of Jan 2016. <\/p>\n<p>PokerStars released a statement which said <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The reason we are focused on the highest status levels is because these rewards have become so enticing that we have inadvertently altered why some people play and how they play. We are introducing these changes to move towards a more balanced long-term poker economy and to return the game back to one that rewards skill via winning at the tables rather than playing primarily for volume.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The company will also replace its <strong>Stellar Rebates, Milestone Rewards and FPPs<\/strong> with a more simplified rewards mechanism called <strong>StarsCoin<\/strong> where the value will be based on 1 cent for each for any status. <\/p>\n<p>PokerStars also decided to make changes to its <strong>heads-up displays (HUDs)<\/strong> in 2016 and will now place a restriction on HUD\u2019s as the company wanted to ensure that the game continues to remain based on players using their logic and developing nerves of steel that allow them to bluff or make a serious call.
