Summary:

888poker has rolled out a new re-entry feature in tournaments, replacing the traditional rebuy option as part of efforts from the operator to enhance player experience.

Under the new changes, players will be able to re-enter a tournament but on a new table, as opposed to the previous system where they could only get back to the same seat they were eliminated from.

Nobody is immune to losing big in multi-table tournaments (MTTs). Even the most prolific poker players have had their share of downswings and that’s due in part to the variance involved in the game. The possibility of losing and being removed from the table is always present regardless of a player’s skill level.

With 888poker’s new re-entry feature, players get the chance to start all over again when they bust from a tournament. That’s because they will be sent to a new randomly assigned table upon re-entering. Meaning they will be up against new opponents with a new stack of chips, giving them a fresh opportunity to run deep and win the game.

Moreover, players can re-enter tournaments at any point during the late registration period. Under the previous system, they needed to rebuy within 20 seconds or they would be removed permanently from the game.

The new feature is now live on 888poker’s dot-com client.
