Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour<\/a> (GUKPT) has crowned its latest Main Event champion, Ludovic Geilich<\/strong> from Scotland. <\/p>\n The Scottish Poker<\/a> pro took down the \u00a31,000 GUKPT Edinburgh Main Event<\/em> over the weekend for \u00a379,590, topping a field of 366 entries. <\/p>\n A total of 34 players took home some cash in the \u00a31,000 GUKPT Edinburgh Main Event<\/em>, including Team Grosvenor\u2019s Katie Swift<\/strong> who finished 32nd for \u00a32,230.<\/p>\n The final action began with just nine players battling it out for the title. Irish poker pro Geoff Kearney<\/strong> was the first to leave the table, finishing 9th for \u00a35,580, the largest score of his career. Next to go was Robbie Bull<\/strong> who took home \u00a36,510 for his 8th-place finish. The last four-figure payout of the final table went to Timothy Chung<\/strong> who ended his bid in 7th place for \u00a37,760.<\/p>\n After Chung\u2019s elimination, the remaining players were each guaranteed to take home five figures and the first player to claim the prize was Michael Kane<\/strong> who finished 6th for \u00a310,550. Following Kane to the rail was James McLean<\/strong> who walked away with \u00a314,270 after finishing in 5th place. <\/p>\n Craig Smith<\/strong> fell in 5th place with \u00a321,710 in winnings, while Lin Chen<\/strong> fell short of making it to heads-up action, settling for 3rd place for \u00a334,130. Chen\u2019s GUKPT endeavors have been successful so far, as he also won the Blackpool Main Event<\/em> back in March for \u00a365,310.<\/p>\n Geilich made quick work of his heads-up opponent<\/a> Abdul Murkit<\/strong>, the latter settling for second place with a \u00a355,840 payout. <\/p>\n\n
