Summary:

Doug Polk has officially been added to the line-up of the upcoming $1 million buy-in cash game on Hustler Casino Live (HCL).

The show’s owners, Ryan Feldman and Nick Vertucci, joined Polk on his podcast this week to announce the new players confirmed to participate in the game.

Polk also apologized to Charlie Carrel over comments he made against the poker player on the issue of pedophilia.

The new players who will take part in the highly-anticipated “The Million Dollar Game” include HCL regulars “Wes Side” Wesley and “Handz”. The latter recently competed in a $100/$200/$400 no-limit hold’em game live-streamed from The Lodge Card Club in Texas during which he lost a massive pot to Bill Perkins via a huge bluff.

Also added to the line-up is another HCL regular, “Mariano”, who is a well-known vlogger. Australian high-stakes player “Huss” will also join in on the action. Polk’s name was the last to be unveiled by Feldman and Vertucci.

The upcoming $1 million buy-in game, which takes place from May 26-29, will mark Polk’s biggest poker game since his high-profile grudge match against Daniel Negreanu. He is a prominent figure in the poker world and is considered one of the best heads-up no-limit hold’em players.

The Upswing Poker founder and co-owner of The Lodge Card Club has three World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets under his belt and has amassed almost $10 million in live tournament earnings throughout his career. He appeared on High Stakes Poker’s first-ever live-streamed game late last month alongside Matt Berkey and Nikhil “Nik Airball” Arcot.

Polk’s addition to The Million Dollar Game line-up should excite every poker fan, considering what he can do at the poker table.

Polk is well-known not only for his skills but for the various controversies he’s been involved in, including long-time feuds with multiple players such as Carrel. Polk once claimed that Carrel “empathized with pedophiles” and even after learning that the English pro was a victim of pedophilia as a child, he continued to insult him.

After getting a lot of flak for his actions, Polk issued an apology to Carrel via a video shared on Twitter. He also removed old videos of him criticizing his long-time rival.

I want to apologize to @Charlie_Carrel pic.twitter.com/WIzcB1i53O

— Doug Polk (@DougPolkVids) May 1, 2023
