Summary

After a nearly four-year hiatus, the One Step Closer Foundation (1SCF) is once again organizing a poker event for charity to benefit Cerebral Palsy patients.

The event will take place at the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Las Vegas on March 4, 2023, just a day after the Global Poker Awards ceremony.

The event, dubbed “All-In for CP”, has an entry fee of $1,000, with 50% going to the prize pool and 50% going to the charity. There are rebuys and add-on available for $500.

Several well-known celebrities will take part in the event, including Kevin Pollak, Ted Danson and Cheryl Hines. MMA fighter Roy “Big C Country” Nelson and four-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Joe Cada are also joining in on the action. Lifestyle blogger and model Jessa Hinton will also be gracing the event as the red-carpet interviewer.

The red carpet starts at 3:00 pm, with players checking in at 3:30. The tournament kicks off at exactly 4:00 pm. Those keen on joining the poker charity event may register at 1scf.org.

For years, the One Step Closer Foundation has been hosting annual poker charity events, including the “Raising the Stakes for CP Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament” to raise funds for people suffering from Cerebral Palsy. The tournament’s original home was Planet Hollywood, but it moved to ARIA in 2019, the last time that the event was held.

Hines has been a familiar face at the event, and in 2019 she was joined by fellow celebrities RJ Mitte, Norm McDonald, Jordan Baker, Stacy Fusion and Montel Williams, among others. Scott Blumstein, Jamie Gold, Jennifer Tilly and several other poker pros also participated in the event.

The All-In for CP event is another celebrity tournament organized by the charity which started as early as 2008.
