"PhilPhil Hellmuth made news last week for the wrong reasons as his abusive rant at the 2021 WSOP made headlines on social media and forced the Poker Hall of Famer (PHoF) to issue multiple apologies.

Hellmuth heads the WSOP gold bracelet list with 15 bracelets to his name. He has tried since 2018 to win his 16th WSOP bracelet and has come close on many occasions. Hellmuth has made it to 7 final tables since 2018 and four of those final table appearances have come at the 2021 WSOP.

That was one of the main reasons for Hellmuth’s frustrations at the table because he was coming so close but yet the 16th bracelet continued to evade him. His persistence paid off during Event #31: $1,500 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw as even though he had a bad start and was close to being eliminated on Day 1, he bounced back and played really well to win the event.
