"DanielDaniel Negreanu held the number one spot on Hendon Mob’s All Time Money list for years but lost that top spot after he failed to win a live poker tournament for over 8 years. The poker hall of famer continued to do well in live poker tournaments and finish in the money, he just could not finish with a first place win.

That changed on September 12 when Negreanu ended up winning his first Poker Masters event when he won the Poker Masters Event #5: $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em and collected just over $178,000. This was the second big win for Negreanu in 2021.

Doug Polk made a YouTube video about Daniel Negreanu in early July and let the poker community know just how long it had been since the Canadian won a tournament. It appears that the YouTube video (if Negreanu actually watched it) might have inspired Negreanu as a few days after the video release he ended up winning the PokerGO Cup #7: $50K NLHE.
