The poker hall of famer continued to do well in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/poker-tournaments\">live poker tournaments<\/a> and finish in the money, he just could not finish with a first place win.<\/p>\n<p>That changed on September 12 when Negreanu ended up winning his first Poker Masters event when he won the <em>Poker Masters Event #5: $10,000 No-Limit Hold\u2019em<\/em> and collected just over $178,000. This was the second big win for Negreanu in 2021.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/news\/doug-polk-defeats-daniel-negreanu-in-grudge-match-and-pockets-over-1-2-million\">Doug Polk<\/a> made a YouTube video about Daniel Negreanu in early July and let the poker community know just how long it had been since the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/top-10-canadian-poker-sites\">Canadian<\/a> won a tournament. It appears that the YouTube video (if Negreanu actually watched it) might have inspired Negreanu as a few days after the video release he ended up winning the <em>PokerGO Cup #7: $50K NLHE<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Doug Polk Poker<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zra9GnvJ7Eo?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Negreanu beat some tough competition at this event which included the likes of <strong>Dan Colman, Alex Foxen and Ali Imsirovic<\/strong>. Negreanu collected $700,000 for his first place finish and this win has undoubtedly given him a much needed boost of confidence.<\/p>\n<p>Given the fact that Negreanu did not win any major tournament or event for the last 8 years and now suddenly has two big wins to his name, we got to think that Polk might have inspired his rival to success!<\/p>\n<p>Negreanu is highly unlikely to give Polk any credit or make mention of his video but it just goes to show that class is permanent and Negreanu is right up there with the best in the world. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"negreanu-focused-on-2021-wsop\">Negreanu Focused On 2021 WSOP <\/h2>\n<p>This win is exactly what Negreanu needs as he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/news\/daniel-negreanu-to-launch-vlogs-as-he-plans-2021-wsop-return\">prepares to play the 2021 WSOP<\/a> which starts on Sep 30 at the Rio in Las Vegas, Nevada. He has 6 WSOP gold bracelets to his name and is very keen on adding to that number his last WSOP bracelet win was back in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Negreanu currently sits in third place on <a href=\"https:\/\/pokerdb.thehendonmob.com\/ranking\/all-time-money-list\/\">Hendon Mob\u2019s All Time Money list<\/a> with a little over $43.5 million in career prize money.
