The match kicked off on July 26 and will run through July 30, with the newly-opened Resorts World Las Vegas playing host to the heads-up action.<\/p>\n<p>Galfond and Adams are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/top-10-poker-games\/omaha-poker\">playing $100\/$200 Pot-Limit Omaha<\/a>, with $20,000 in starting stack. Their target is to play the entire match for 40 hours, equivalent to five days of eight-hour marathon sessions. <\/p>\n<p>The latest battle involves a different set-up from the previous three matches as all of them took place online and made for easy streaming. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Brandon Adams<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/F1Z4gYEGC0A?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unclear whether the live match between Galfond and Adams will also be streamed, though the latter already indicated he\u2019ll be streaming some of the action on his Instagram account. Galfond will also be releasing action recaps on a daily basis to keep fans updated.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from the huge amount of money at stake throughout the match, there\u2019s also a sidebet involved \u2013 Galfond putting up $150,000 to Adams\u2019 $100,000. Galfond has been undefeated so far in the challenge, and Adams is aiming to put a dent in that record. <\/p>\n<p>If Adams defeats Galfond in their ongoing battle, a rematch will immediately follow, but this time they\u2019ll play \u201c<em>battleship<\/em>\u201d style, wherein they\u2019ll sit across from each other in person, but play the game online via their laptops.<\/p>\n<p>Galfond is hoping to score his fourth straight victory. Since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/news\/three-poker-pros-to-compete-against-rio-founder-in-galfond-challenge\">issuing the challenge back in 2019<\/a>, the Run It Once founder has managed to defeat all of his opponents across three completed matches: <strong>\u201c<em>Venividi1993<\/em>\u201c, Ioannis \u201c<em>ActionFreak<\/em>\u201d Kontonastsios and Chance Kornuth<\/strong>. He has an unfinished match against Bill Perkins, but he is ahead by $91,705.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"get-to-know-brandon-adams\">Get To Know Brandon Adams<\/h2>\n<p>Adams is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He earned his Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s degree at the University of Florida and obtained a doctorate at Harvard University. <\/p>\n<p>The 42-year-old started playing poker when he was still in college. Based on his <a href=\"https:\/\/pokerdb.thehendonmob.com\/player.php?a=r&amp;n=43952\">Hendon Mob profile<\/a>, Adams\u2019 first live tournament cash came in 2005 in a <em>World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit event<\/em> in New Orleans. He won his maiden WSOP gold bracelet in 2019 in the <em>$3,200 No-Limit Hold\u2019em WSOP.com Online High Roller<\/em> where he took home $411,561 as top prize. <\/p>\n<p>Adams won a $50,000 buy-in event during the <em>2017 Poker Masters<\/em> in Las Vegas, earning him $819,000 his biggest cash to date.
