The Poker Hall of Famer gave his thoughts on the subject during a recent episode of the <em>DAT Poker Podcast<\/em>, which he co-hosts alongside <strong>Terrance Chan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Negreanu is a long-time member of the WSOP\u2019s Player Advisory Board. He was instrumental in the introduction of the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event in 2006, which for a number of years had been the highest-stakes tournament at the WSOP. <\/p>\n<p>It later evolved into the <em>$50K Poker Players Championship<\/em>, which has become one of the most highly-coveted WSOP titles. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Daniel Negreanu<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eOfZL66kn6Y?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Given Negreanu\u2019s role at the WSOP, we can be sure he has some insider information as to whether or not a live festival will take place this year. When he says he knows \u201c<em>exactly what\u2019s going to happen<\/em>\u201c, we can somehow hope for the best, and look forward to seeing the WSOP back in Vegas, certainly not in the usual summer months, but most likely between September and November. <\/p>\n<p>Rumors of a WSOP fall edition in 2021 have been circulating recently among the poker community and Negreanu\u2019s statements suggest there could be some truth to those hearsays. The six-time WSOP bracelet winner also indicated that there will be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/news\/ggpoker-and-wsop-release-full-2020-online-bracelet-series-schedule\">an online series taking place as well, similar to the 2020 set-up<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Players and fans of the world\u2019s longest-running poker festival can also expect a full live schedule this fall, with 90 events to choose from, according to Negreanu. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"us-vaccination-campaign-intensifies\">US Vaccination Campaign Intensifies <\/h2>\n<p>The Canadian poker pro is also confident that by the time the series takes place, extra safety protocols, such as plexiglass dividers, would no longer be needed. His optimism comes from the fact that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/news\/live-poker-comeback-expected-soon-with-news-of-covid-19-vaccine-approval\">vaccinations are well underway in the US<\/a>, which will help things to return to some sort of normalcy in the coming months. Plexiglass partitions won\u2019t work in the WSOP in the first place, considering the event\u2019s enormous size.    <\/p>\n<p>Vaccinations across the US could be completed by the end of May, as suggested by the Biden administration. The campaign stepped up a notch with the development of a third vaccine by Johnson &amp; Johnson. <\/p>\n<p>This means a \u201c<em>normal<\/em>\u201d WSOP is highly likely, and hosting the festival in the fall months is a sensible decision, as it will give organizers enough time to prepare and get things done to provide players and fans the ultimate live poker experience, something that they\u2019d missed out on in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Will there be a World Series of Poker (WSOP) live festival this fall?
