"DanielDaniel Negreanu is willing to put up to $1 million on the line on the possibility of winning a gold bracelet during this year’s World Series of Poker (WSOP).

The world’s most prestigious and longest-running festival, which was originally scheduled to take place this summer, has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Organizers are now targeting a fall date for the live event to take place, though there is real chance that the action will be moved online. Either way, Negreanu is betting a portion of his bankroll on adding another WSOP title to his colorful resume.

Negreanu has been chasing for WSOP victory over the past few years, having won his last bracelet in 2013. There were times he narrowly missed out on capturing a seventh WSOP title, such as last year when he finished runner-up in two events.

For years, the highly-coveted bracelet has remained elusive for the Poker Hall of Famer, and this motivates him to work harder and just keep going each year. This year is no exception, even amidst the ongoing global health crisis which has forced major changes to the way things are being run in the live poker arena.

Right after posting his bet on his Twitter account, Negreanu attracted multiple wagers, and sold off the entire amount, allowing each bettor to put up a maximum bet of $100,000.
