The PokerStars’ 2020 Turbo Series is now underway! The tournament series kicked off on April 5, and will run through to April 19, with at least $25 million in guarantees up for grabs. This money will be spread across a total of 114 events!

The 2020 Turbo Series is another exciting addition to the growing list of huge online events scheduled for April.

partypoker is hosting the 2020 Irish Open Online which begins on April 12, while its popular POWERFEST now extended until April 19. An astonishing $50 million guarantee is also on offer in the ongoing GGSeries which runs until April 26.

Each event on the schedule will be played in either turbo or hyper-turbo blind structure, and while majority of the events are No-Limit Hold’em, the schedule also includes a mix of other poker variants, such as Pot Limit Omaha, H.O.R.S.E., No-Limit Omaha Hi/Low, Limit Hold’em, 5-card Omaha and 8-Game.

Slight changes have also been introduced this year, including the omission of 6-card Omaha events. The schedule also does not include micro-stakes events with buy-ins lower than $11. But the good news is, players with limited bankroll can win their way into the bigger buy-in events by taking part in tons of satellites running throughout the series.

The series culminates in not just one, but two Turbo Series Main Events with a combined guaranteed prize pool of $3 million. The first Main Event has a buy-in of $55, and will award $1 million in prize money, while the other has an entry fee of $1,050, carrying at least $2 million in guarantees. Both events will take place on the final day of the series, April 19 at 8:30pm.

High roller fans will also be delighted to know that a $5,200 buy-in High Roller event will take place on the same day at 7:00pm, CET, where players will compete for a total guaranteed prize pool of $750,000.

Previously known as the Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP), the annual fast-paced Turbo Series usually takes place every January, however this year, it had to be moved to a later month to give way for the Bounty Builder Series. Last year, Swedish poker pro Robin “robinho” Ylitalo walked away as the biggest winner after taking down the $1,050 Main Event for $322,000.

Series Highlights
