Two of his fellow countrymen were the first to leave the table \u2013 <strong>Rifat Gegic<\/strong> exited in ninth place for \u20ac24,000, while <strong>Renato Nowak<\/strong> finished eighth for \u20ac31,000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>World Poker Tour<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/33QIspXHtec?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hossein Ensan<\/strong>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/news\/hossein-ensan-wins-the-2019-wsop-main-event-for-10-million\">Iranian-German poker pro who won the 2019 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event<\/a> for $10,000,000, started the final day second in chips, behind Italy\u2019s <strong>Gianluca Speranza<\/strong>. Ensan was aiming to win his first WPT title, to add to his colorful poker resume which currently boasts of one WSOP gold bracelet, one EPT title, as well as several other major wins.<\/p>\n<p>Winning the WPT Germany Main Event would have made him only the tenth player in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/blog\/a-look-at-the-wsop-top-earners-in-the-events-history\">poker history<\/a> to capture a Triple Crown.  But unfortunately for him, it didn\u2019t happen, as he busted in seventh place for \u20ac40,000.<\/p>\n<p>Dutch player <strong>Farukh Tach<\/strong> was the next to go, finishing sixth for a career-best score of \u20ac52,000. Start-of-day chip leader Speranza shoved pocket fives against Papai\u2019s sevens, sending the Italian to the rail in fifth place for \u20ac68,000. <strong>Josef Gulas<\/strong> from Czech Republic followed Speranza to the payout desk, earning \u20ac91,000 for his fourth-place finish.<\/p>\n<p>Dutch poker pro <strong>Joep van den Bijgaart<\/strong> was leading the chips when three-handed play began, however Puetz managed to score a timely double to grab the lead. Bijgaart eventually fell in third place for \u20ac125,000, after losing a hand against Papai. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"puetz-goes-straight-to-wpt-tournament-of-champions\">Puetz Goes Straight to WPT Tournament of Champions<\/h2>\n<p>The two remaining players were almost even in chips as they entered heads-up play, however Papai quickly lost a significant portion of his stack after he four-bet shoved ace-ten against Puetz\u2019s ace-jack. <\/p>\n<p>From there, things went downhill for the Hungarian, and after just seven hands, the trophy ultimately went to Puetz. It was a remarkable victory for the young German player, considering that he only started playing the game two years ago. <\/p>\n<p>Apart from the top prize, Puetz also earned a free seat to the highly-anticipated <em>WPT Tournament of Champions<\/em> which is set to take place later this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The World Poker Tour (WPT) has crowned its newest champion!
