German poker pro Christopher Puetz<\/a> emerged victorious in the WPT Germany Main Event<\/em>, defeating a 510-entry field to capture \u20ac270,000 as top prize, alongside the prestigious WPT title. <\/p>\n

The 23-year-old Puetz outclassed Hungarian poker pro Laszlo Papai<\/strong> heads-up to secure the crown, with the latter walking away with \u20ac174,500 as runner-up. <\/p>\n

Four Germans made up the final nine players at the table but it was Puetz who dominated throughout the game. Two of his fellow countrymen were the first to leave the table \u2013 Rifat Gegic<\/strong> exited in ninth place for \u20ac24,000, while Renato Nowak<\/strong> finished eighth for \u20ac31,000.<\/p>\n
