The competition was fierce and in the end it was <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/chinorheem\">David \u201cChino\u201d Rheem<\/a> who managed to keep his composure and take down the Main Event to <strong>win $1,567,100<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PokerStars<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7-DrOoaXg1M?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Californian poker pro has had a lot of success in the past and this win was his 5th seven figure payout. The win has now boosted his <strong>total career prize money to over $10 million<\/strong> as the 2019 PCA Main Event win was the second highest payout of his career.<\/p>\n<p>Rheem was delighted to get his 2019 off and running with a million dollar cashout but still played down his success by crediting good fortune rather than his skills at the table. One of his skills is engaging in some friendly banter at the table which brought out some interesting chatter at the final table. The 38 year old poker pro battled it out with fellow American <strong>Daniel Strelitz<\/strong> who finished in second place taking home $951,480.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"scott-wellenbach-donates-winnings-to-charity\">Scott Wellenbach Donates Winnings To Charity<\/h2>\n<p>While Rheem finished in first place and took home the biggest payout, Canadian player <a href=\"http:\/\/pokerdb.thehendonmob.com\/player.php?a=r&amp;n=400521\">Scott Wellenbach<\/a> received a lot of attention as he decided to start his 2019 by giving away his prize money from the PCA Main Event to charity.<\/p>\n<p>The 67 year old Canadian made his way to the Bahamas after he won his seat through a $500 online qualifier. Before the PCA Main Event could start, Wellenbach announced that he would donate all his winnings irrespective of where he finished. He surprised a lot of people as he made the final table and then went on to finish in third place to take home $671,240.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Wellenbach said \u201cGoing into the tournament, if you would\u2019ve said: \u2018How\u2019s third place?\u2019 I would\u2019ve said \u201cunbelievably good.\u201d I\u2019m sure in a few days, it\u2019ll sink in and I\u2019ll be happy with the outcome.
