The All Japan Poker Championship<\/a> (AJPC) has added a new destination to its Asian Circuit. This year\u2019s tournament will include a stop on the Western Pacific Island of Saipan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The Saipan poker tournament will take place at the Imperial Pacific Resort<\/a> which is run by Hong Kong-listed investment holding company Imperial Pacific International Holdings, Ltd. <\/p>\n A hotel is currently under construction on the site and is projected to be completed by December 2020.<\/p>\n The AJPC Asian Circuit<\/em> will run on February 13 to 17, with a Main Event buy-in of $2,200 (2000 +200)<\/strong> set to take place. There will also be a number of cash games and side events held during the tournament. <\/p>\n The AJPC said during its announcement of the Saipan poker tournament that the addition of new stops will draw more players to the tournament. The AJPC is confident that it will attract poker players<\/a> not only from Japan<\/strong> but also from neighbouring countries like Taiwan and South Korea<\/strong>. <\/p>\n AJPC Chairman Sasaki Yasuhiro<\/strong> said they are committed to expanding their brand to new and exciting destinations, and attract players from outside of Japan. Competitions in Southeast Asia and South Korea are also being included in the 2019 AJPC schedule. <\/p>\n The AJPC operates from Osaka, Japan and is responsible for sponsoring numerous poker events in the country. It holds an annual AJPC Championship which it considers as Japan\u2019s largest poker tournament. The organization has seen a year-on-year increase in registrations, as new stops are being added to its event circuit, including one in Taiwan. <\/p>\n The AJPC is keen on attracting new player bases from different Asian regions, while further developing the game of poker in its home country.<\/p>\nAJPC Brand Expansion<\/h2>\n
