\"kristenKristen Bicknell<\/a> has definitely come a long way as a poker pro. The Canadian player has once again captured the Female Global Poker Index (GPI) Player of the Year (POY) 2018 title. <\/p>\n

Bicknell has had a great run in the last few years winning the GPI POY in 2017 and 2018 and narrowly missing out in 2016 after she was topped by America Cate Hall<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

This is a great achievement for Bicknell who spent the first few years playing online poker. She had success playing online poker and went on to reach PokerStars\u2019 highest status \u2013 the prestigious Supernova Elite \u2013 which entitled her to huge rakes, as well as various benefits and rewards. She also occasionally played live poker and found that she was pretty good at live tournaments. One of her major accomplishments was in 2013, when she won the WSOP Ladies Event<\/em>. <\/p>\n

It was in 2015 when Bicknell finally decided to switch to live tournaments, following changes to online formats. Not long after the transition, she captured her second WSOP bracelet at the 2016 WSOP, winning a $1,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold\u2019em Bounty event<\/em>.
\nGoal-driven and motivated to represent women in live poker tournaments; Bicknell strived to make a mark but has had a lot of disappointing finishes. However, they did not stop her from working hard and improving her skills at the table. <\/p>\n
