Rob Yong gave his two cents on the MILLIONS UK tournament which took place two months ago. The partypoker-sponsored tournament was a huge disappointment, after it failed to meet expectations, with a significantly low turnout.

In his blog post Yong shared nostalgic memories from the original EPT format where players – a mixture of poker professionals and amateurs – were only given one shot to the coveted top prize. Yong expressed his dislike for re-entries which he said only benefit large-stake players and those who have “deep pockets”. Famous players usually register at the last minute and they can opt to re-enter multiple times even after being busted multiple times.

partypoker may have taken account of Yong’s comments, leading to a revamped MILLIONS. John Duthie, who leads partypoker LIVE, has already hinted at major changes coming into play next year.

Four MILLIONS Events in 2019

Four MILLIONS events will be held in 2019.
