Some of the guests who were present included Actor <strong>Ranganathan Madhaven<\/strong> also graced the opening ceremonies with performances by Indian rising stars <strong>Shamita Shetty, Karishma Tanna and Sanjeeda Sheikh<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>MIPL has been gaining massive popularity across the Indian poker circuit for being the first and the only sports poker league in India. Season 3\u2019s top finisher will give India a great representation at the Poker Nations Cup, a televised international poker tournament established by the <a href=\"http:\/\/matchpokerfed.org\">International Federation of Match Poker<\/a> (IFMP). MIPL has made a name for itself by being the first Indian poker tournament to create ties with the global organization.<\/p>\n<p>Launching the MIPL Season 3, founder Raj Kundra said the poker league has established a unique identity by adopting a structured, skill-based team sport format. As the latest season of  the league opens, the hunt officially begins to find India\u2019s top poker player.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MatchIPL<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XnizPBwgCP4?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Match Poker is presented as a mind sport which requires more skill than the traditional poker format. The game involves several tables wherein a representative from each team occupies a seat at each table. The luck element is reduced as the same cards are given to each table instead of the random draw.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"pune-kings-wins-third-season\">Pune Kings Wins Third Season<\/h2>\n<p>This season\u2019s list of teams includes the <strong>Ahmedabad Hearts, the Jaipur Jewels, the UP Indians, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PuneKingsMIPL\">the Pune Kings<\/a>, the Mumbai All Stars, the Kolkatta Diamonds, the Haryana Hawks<\/strong> and the <strong>Bangalore Royals<\/strong>. The <strong>Goa Lions<\/strong> has dropped out of the third season following a dispute over tournament conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The action only ran for 2 days but it did cause a lot of excitement in India\u2019s growing poker community. The Pune Kings finished in first place and received a total of $184,354 for their winning performance. The Mumbai All Stars who finished in second place finished with $122,903.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"match-fixing-allegations\">Match Fixing Allegations<\/h2>\n<p>Earlier this year, the former Goa Kings franchise owner Sachiin Joshi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/news\/match-indian-poker-league-troubled-by-match-fixing-allegations\">accused MIPL of being rigged<\/a>, claiming Kundra fixed the inaugural tournament which took place in November 2017.
