Stiers not only lost his entire chip stack but says his confidence and reputation suffered a beating as a result of the incident.<\/p>\n<center>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PokerNews?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@PokerNews<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WSOP?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@WSOP<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/espn?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@espn<\/a> I just got kicked out of wsop main event with 665k for being good at blackjack in Baltimore 3 years ago, ppl help<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Joe Stiers (@Joe_Stiers) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Joe_Stiers\/status\/885681377236078592?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 14, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\"><\/script><br>\n<\/p><\/center>\n<h2 id=\"prior-trouble-with-caesars-entertainment\">Prior Trouble With Caesars Entertainment<\/h2>\n<p>To understand why Caesars arrested and removed him from the property, one would have to go back to 2015 and focus on an incident that took place at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caesars.com\/horseshoe-baltimore\">Maryland\u2019s Horseshoe Casino<\/a> which is also owned by Caesars Entertainment. <\/p>\n<p>The casino suspected that Stiers was using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/news\/phil-ivey-loses-uk-supreme-court-appeal-in-edge-sorting-case\">edge sorting<\/a> or card counting at his blackjack table and as a resulted confiscated $350 in chips and removed him from the table. Maryland\u2019s gaming regulator allegedly <strong>ordered the Horseshoe Casino to refund the $350 to Stiers<\/strong>. Due to that incident at the Horseshoe Casino, Caesars Entertainment put him on the blacklist which barred him from entering all Caesars\u2019 owned properties. <\/p>\n<p><strong>PokerVidGuy<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RHa9lfpC08E?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"stiers-finds-a-way-around-the-system\">Stiers Finds A Way Around The System<\/h2>\n<p>Even though he was barred from entering all Caesars owned properties, Stiers was unable to stay away and managed to find a way around the system. One of the ways he did this was by clubbing his middle and last name together. He played at the Rio during the 2016 WSOP Main Event by using the name \u2018<em>Joseph Conorstiers<\/em>\u2019 and would go on to cash out and take home $18,000. <\/p>\n<p>He tried to do the same thing at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/news\/wsop-champion-scott-blumstein-backers-get-high-windfall-after-win\">2017 WSOP Main Event<\/a> but this time around, Rio casino security managed to detect his presence and were quick to act in removing him. Stiers beef with the casino is that they only removed him because they knew that he was in the top 9 players in overall chips.
