""Brian Rast is one of the top modern day poker players in the world who has over $20 million in live career earnings.

The California poker pro who already has 3 WSOP gold bracelets to his name won his 4th WSOP bracelet at Event #23: $10,000 2-7 Single Draw Championship.

This win was very special for Brian Rast and one that he will not forget. This is because poker legend Doyle Brunson was playing the final table and competing against Rast.

The Poker Hall of Famer who is 84 years old had earlier stated that this will be his last World Series of Poker (WSOP) appearance and in all likelihood the 2-7 Single Draw Championship was his final table.

Even though Rast won the event, it was Brunson who stole the show and Rast had no problem with that as it was an honour to share the table and be a part of Brunson’s final WSOP appearance. Doyle who has a massive fan following, saw hundreds of fans pack the rails, take photos and cheer him on. They created an electric atmosphere at the event and it something that Brian Rast will not forget anytime soon.

The pressure and the bright lights did not deter Nevada regular Brian Rast from playing his best and going hard at the event. In the end, Rast beat Mike Wattel and emerged victorious to take home $259,670 and boost his live career prize money to $21,129,935. Wattel took home $160,489 for his second place finish while Italian poker pro Dario Sammartino finished in third place and cashed out with $114,023. Doyle Brunson who uses the Twitter handle TexDolly finished in 6th place and took home $43,963.

Brian Rast Pays Tribute To Doyle Brunson

Brian Rast paid tribute to Doyle Brunson by saying that winning his 4th WSOP bracelet was special but what he really wanted to do was follow in his idol’s footsteps and have a poker career as successful as Brunson.

Rast took to Twitter to thank his opponents and say how much he enjoyed sharing the final table with Brunson.
